Top marks for this table top
I have no negative comments about this TV. The picture looks great right out of the box. The DVD player plays flawlessly and I have to admit it's looks cool sliding the DVD into the side. Others have complained about the volume. The speakers could be better but chances are you are going to be viewing this TV from close range so you'll be fine. The sleep timer is a nice touch. I wish it could be a little bigger but that was a hundred bucks more. As always, Amazon free shipping was quick and painless.

Excellent small TV/DVD combo
Toshiba 19LV505 19-Inch 720p LCD HDTV with Biult-in DVD Player
Excellent smallish LCD TV/dvd combo for kitchen, bedroom, or anywhere that you don't want a mammoth screen.
Terrific picture quality, easy operation, reasonable price, fast delivery time. Very happy w/ this product.

great little tv! it packs a punch.
I got this tv yesterday for my bedroom.
the sound is fine for a room that is 300 sq feet.
picture is really clear even though I don't have the HD box from the cable company. I'm loving the divx support through the built-in dvd player, and the fact that one remote does all!

Sigma AF 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 DC OS (Optical Stabilizer) Zoom Lens for Canon Digital SLR Cameras
Binding: Electronics
Manufacturer: Sigma Corporation
Product Description:
The Sigma 18-200 F3.5-6.3 DC OS HSM Lens incorporates an Optical Stabilizer function and is exclusively designed for digital SLR cameras. It is perfectly suitable for low light conditions whether indoors, at dusk, or in telephoto range. This system uses two sensors inside the lens to detect vertical and horizontal movement of the camera by moving an optical image stabilizing lens group, to effectively compensate for camera shake. It also automatically detects panning movement of the camera and compensates for camera shake when shooting moving subjects such as motor sports. SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass and aspherical glass provide excellent correction for all types of aberrations. This lens has a minimum focusing distance of 45cm (17.7") throughout the entire zoom range and has a maximum magnification of 1:3.9. Since the inner focusing system means the front of the lens does not rotate, optional circular polarizing filters and the supplied petal-type hood can easily be used. A magnification scale is displayed on the lens barrel, ensuring ease of use. A zoom-lock switch mechanism is provided to prevent the lens from creeping due to its own weight. 69.3 - 7.1 degrees (Sigma SD format) angle of view 7 Diaphragm Blades F22 Minimum Aperture 45cm / 17.7 Minimum Focusing Distance 1 - 3.9 Maximum Magnification Petal Lens Hood Dimensions - Diameter 79mm x Length 100mm Weight - 21.5 ounces (610 grams)
Amazon.com Product Description:
The Sigma 18-200mm high-zoom-ratio lens is designed exclusively for Canon digital SLR cameras and is capable of covering a wide range of focal lengths, from wide-angle to telephoto. Two Special Low Dispersion (SLD) glass elements and two hybrid aspherical lenses correct for all types of aberrations, letting Sigma house the extended-range super-zoom lens in a compact and lightweight body that measures 70mm in diameter and 78.1mm long and weighs a mere 14.3 ounces. The new lens coating, meanwhile, reduces flare and ghost--a common problem shared by many digital cameras--while also creating an optimum color balance. Other details include a minimum focusing distance of 45cm (17.7) at all focal lengths, a high zoom ratio of 11:1, and a maximum magnification of 1:4.4.

The lens design incorporates an inner focusing system that prevents the front of the lens from rotating, making it particularly suitable for using circular polarizing filters and petal-shaped lens hoods. In addition, the overall length of the lens never changes during focusing, making the lens convenient to handle and easy to use. Finally, the lens's zoom lock switch eliminates "zoom creep" during transport--a convenient addition when traveling. The lens, which includes a metal mount, is backed by a one-year warranty.

Comparing the Sigma to the New Canon 18-200mm IS Lens
I've had the Sigma 18-200mm OS lens for several months and found it to give sharper images with my 40D than the Tamron 18-250mm (non-IS/OS) which it replaced. Then along comes the new Canon EF-S 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 IS, their own superzoom "travel lens." I bought one to see how it compares to the Sigma. My tests show mixed results regarding image quality. With both lenses wide open the Sigma wins at the wide end from 18-24mm, especially away from the center, while the Canon wins at the 135-200mm long end, also especially away from the center. The Sigma is f6.3 wide open at 200mm while the Canon is f5.6. This is only a small difference, but it does give the Canon even more advantage at 200mm where shutter speed needs to be the highest.

Both lenses auto-focus accurately (no front or back focus) although the Sigma is slower to lock focus in low light and is a little noisier in getting there. Their IS/OS are equally effective at about 3 stops of compensation. Build quality, size and weight are about the same and both use the same 72mm filter size. Sigma includes a lens hood while Canon wants to sell you one.

In summary, the Canon is slightly better for me due to the faster and quieter low-light focus and improved telephoto image quality. The trade-off is poorer image quality than the Sigma for wide angle shots, even after stopping down. Finally, the Sigma lens costs about 0 less than the Canon at this time.

great daytime walk around lens
I bought this lens when i bought my Canon XSi back in May. Its a great "walk around" lens. it covers a huge spectrum of range. For daylight photography and with a flash it works very well. My only real complaint is that its heavy and a little big... but this is expected with the 18 to 200 range.

IS works very well. At the 150 to 200mm range there is a noticeable difference between IS turned on and Off.

pared with the canon 50mm f 1.4 i think i have all the glass i'll need for a while. now its just a matter of learning how to use it well.

Awesome Lens
Lens is great. Can hand hold 200mm focal length at 1/30th sec shutter speed(without camera blur),when using the optical stabilizer. Would higly reccomend this lens. Rarely comes off my camrea. With 18-200mm focal length and the OS it is pretty much the only lens you will ever need!!

Sigma all-around lense
So far images are very good, functionality is very good also. This is a good "can take only one lense" on a trip, etc. I will be using this at Disney World after Thanksgiving...

Great batteries!
Wow! This 12 pack of duracell batteries is the best 12 pack of batteries I ever bought! They really powered up the CD player! I'll be sure to buy more when these run out!

excellent, reliable AA batteries
Duracell makes great batteries; and these batteries will show you just how good they are made once you try them. The "CopperTop" version of these AA size batteries really lasts noticeably longer than the AA batteries Duracell used to make. I really like this because I often travel by public transportation and I use my portable CD player to listen to music. I always get several hours more use out of these CopperTop Duracell AA batteries; and that's grand!

Believe it or not, the reclosable storage pack actually does close neat and clean for you so that the batteries remaining inside the package don't get dusty or exposure to any elements if you're outside camping or something.

The 12 pack offers value, too; and that's important in these expensive times!

Use these batteries before their expiration date. The expiration date will always be several years into the future; but some people still have them lying around in a dresser drawer anyway. The problem is not only do they lose their potency; the batteries also begin to corrode. When the batteries corrode eventually a whitish powdery sticky substance begins to leak out of them and this makes a mess--trust me!

Do NOT dispose of these or ever place these in or near a fire. They could literally explode. I wouldn't carry them loose either--they should be protected in their cardboard case or they should be already installed in your portable CD player, your flashlight or whatever device you placed them into.

Overall, these Duracell CopperTop AA size batteries are the ones to choose if you need AA size batteries. I highly recommend them for any device that needs AA size batteries.

Duracell batteries
They are batteries and they do what you would want them to do and usually longer then other batteries.

Customer Reviews

Vertically excellent; horizontally so-so
Attached to the XSi body it adds some needed volume & mass. Only problem is that the "horn" which sticks out on the lower right side when used in landscape orientation prevents your pinky finger from wrapping around the grip in a comfortable manner. In portrait mode, it's great. It seems the ergo gurus at canon could have lopped of the offending "horn" to improve the ergonomics in landscape mode. I have an older A2E with a vertical grip and its supremely comfortable in either orientation. The body sans grip has no room for your pinky, unfortunately with the BG-E5 attached your pinky has to content with the aforementioned bulge which interferes with a solid grip.

Great for price and small hands too.
My grip isn't as large as most folks so I thought it important to give a perspective for folks with small hands. This grip adds a bit of weight to the camera but is not too heavy. The trade for more shooting time is worth it. I had to upgrade my head to compensate for the weight. Vertical shots are much easier with the placement of the second button.

It's great that you can use one battery with it. I added a second battery also increasing weight, but again doubling my available shooting time.

Overall, a great addition. I needed it to shoot longer in the field. I'll be away from a power source for a few days.

Great Product!
Great addition to the XSI! It balances the camera nicely, adds the ability to use AA batteries or Canon rechargeables.

canon battery grip
I was satisfied with how my transaction went through for my new battery pack. it was simple, accurate and timely. i would purchase from this site again.

Battery Grip a good idea
I purchased the BG-E5 for a cruise to Alaska. Wanted to make sure that I never ran out of battery power. Using two LP-E5 batteries I never lost power, even after taking more than 700 photos (no flash) in one day. Having the AA battery holder as a backup made me feel confident that I would miss nothing.

Easy to use, makes the camera feel bigger, the side controls are a great addition.

Only con is the weight, but it is not really that bad.

The IPAQ 210 is Superb!
HP iPAQ 210 Enterprise Handheld

HP hit a homerun! The IPAQ 210 is an outstanding handheld laddened with enough features to serve admirably as a laptop replacement. Its brilliant screen displays photographs, Adobe pdf attachments and spreadsheets with ease and is large enough to accommodate your favorite movie. Typical PDA functions - calendar, contacts, notes, voice recordings etc. are a snap with Windows Mobile 6.1. WiFi and Bluetooth are easy to use and well integrated. This little trooper runs for hours on a single charge. If you are serious about using the IPAQ as a laptop replacement, you will need to purchase the Bluetooth keyboard accessory. Excellence is expensive, but the IPAQ 210 well worth it -- think of it for less than 0 bucks you can stop lugging that laptop!

Pros: Outstanding PDA and Microsoft Office Mobile, Gorgeous Screen, Laptop Replacement

Cons: Weak Speaker, Bluetooth Bonding for external keyboard can be finicky

iPAQ 211 Review
All in all I'm pleased with the product. It has the best "video/screen" resolution I've seen, battery life is pretty good when you aren't running a boatload of wireless connections, and synching with Exchange is improved over my Palm T|X. All in all the online experience (browsing, mail, synching) is superior to Palm.

Nits and irritants:

1. When connected via USB, I cannot seem to find a way to configure the device to not come on every few minutes (maybe with every change in schedule/mail/contacts, etc.) and it is almost impossible to survive without saving your password as a result. You can't just turn it off it seems, it will pop back on within minutes. Half the time my goal is not to have it sync, simply to let it charge, so this is a major annoyance. If there's a better way, it isn't obvious and that leads to irritant number 2.
2. Documentation, especially configuration assistance is abysmal. What's new about that anymore? The art of good technical writing simply seems lost on us as a society anymore.
3. On occasion you have to wait on some update in the device to finish, just like on PCs. One of the main reasons I spent more on this than I would have on a micro-PC is I wanted instant on for schedule purposes and a usable web interface. It's truly annoying to be delayed. Easiest way to avoid delays seems to be to leave the wireless off as might be expected. The concept of throttling down background tasks seems less advanced.
4. Like a lot of folks I dislike the "up" position on the directional rocker - too small for my fat fingers to use accurately.
5. Text recognition is far inferior to early Palm Graffiti in my estimation. I could really input almost as fast as I could stroke characters on early Palm. None of the input methods on this device are as trustworthy, accurate, or fast, in fact I tend to hunt and peck the keyboard.
6. Oh yeah, really stupid thing - you can adjust the backlight down to 0, that is can't see a thing. Pretty hard to find the slider to adjust it back once you do if you happen to take your stylus off the screen. I don't know what they were thinking.
7. App interface is a bit vertical, that is seems to stack a little too much. Don't like all the drill downs, Palm was quite a bit simpler, and for general purpose more usable in my mind. It can be difficult to figure out why something is "grayed" out or why some button isn't working on iPAQ, and drilling down often requires too many levels in book. Hides/Obfuscates functionality meaninglessly.

Value/Cost: Give the price of micro PCs, 2*s.
Interface/Visuals: 4*s. Font scalability is remarkable.

Browsing: 4*s. Nice to be able to see a whole page when you need to. Not all pages reproduce accurately tho.

Wireless: 3*s: Somehow it's just more difficult to configure correctly than it should be.

Synching: 3*s: Especially bad with the auto turn on/alert features. No amount of work seems to get that configured in a likable way. Otherwise pretty good. Blame ActiveSync and the Device here.

Apps: Powerpoint I like, does what I'd want it to in this format. Word seems to not manage graphical content well at all. Haven't tried Excel much or the Media Tools yet.

Palm vs. iPAQ? For usability, simple schedule/contact management I prefer my Palm T|X, cept it's dead. For Web/Browsing and Exchange Integration the iPAQ get's my vote. For input, the old Palm Graffiti with all its proprietary quirks remains the most functional in my estimation.

USB Host - lose the laptop!
The iPaq 211 is quite a bit bigger than than the 2200 that I have had for 3 or 4 years now and does seem a bit clumsier to hold. BUT it has a larger screen with twice the resolution so that it is a joy to look at and it does seem a bit more responsive. I bought mine refurbished and it's perfect. It did have a few spots of something sticky on it but they were easily cleaned off and there are now no signs that it was anything other than brand new.

The good:
It has USB host capabilities so I can transfer photos directly from SD or CF cards to a powered hard drive without a PC or Laptop. You need a special cable which costs another but it is well worth it for me. The hard drive must have a separate power supply, as all 3.5" ones do. The smaller 2.5" drives are usually powered from the USB port and the iPaq has not got enough power for that. However, my Buffalo 320GB ministation is capable of being powered from the mains (my TomTom mains charger fits and supplies the 5v with the correct polarity). File transfer is SLOW (about an hour for 1GB) but that is no problem if you can get through the day and download while you have dinner or something. The reason I value this capability so highly is the ever increasing restrictions on baggage that the airlines are imposing. Hand baggage allowances within Europe are so measly now that a DSLR camera with 2 lenses, a hard drive, a PDA and a silver flute + piccolo is as much as I am allowed leaving no room for a laptop as well. And no, I would not want to pack any of that into the checked luggage.

It has both SD and CF card slots so you can have your cake and eat it. That covers both my point-and-shoot and my DSLR camera so I am very happy. It also means that you can get 64 GB of storage if you invest in 32GB cards in both slots. Yes, it does support SDHC.

It has full VGA resolution so that your photos actually look good. And you can rotate the screen with a long press of a button.

It can run movies (with added software) without significant glitches and the screen does a good job.

The wireless just works. It picks up a new connection without fuss and there is an icon to disable it (to save power) right on the Today screen.

I haven't tried the Bluetooth yet but I see no reason to suppose it works any less well than the 2200 which was fine. Apparently it does support the protocol that allows for stereo bluetooth headphones.

And Skype (free download) works almost as well as on my laptop (without the webcam of course). There is a tiny speaker on the front and a microphone to bottom left so that when you hold the iPaq up to your left ear it works just like a large cellphone.

Some people seem to hate the fact that the headphone jack is at the bottom instead of the top. However, I love that. It means that all the cables come from the same edge. It also means that you can put it in your pocket top down so you can easily reach the control dial and the headphone wire comes straight out from the exposed edge.

The not so good:
It takes a second or two to turn on when you press the button. The 2200 turned on almost instantly. Not a deal breaker but disconcerting. Also, the buttons for contacts and calendar do not turn the unit on as they did on 2200. It has to be on already for the buttons to launch the programs.

I read all the reviews of the weakness of the main speaker (at the rear) and decided that for me this wasn't so important. They are right, the speakers are very very quiet. But you can hear it very well if you hold the unit up to your ear and a pair of headphones solves the problem completely. Now I need to invest in a stereo bluetooth pair!

Also you do need to press a bit harder on the screen than on the 2200 but you get used to that very quickly. I found the bare screen rather sticky so that my letters had breaks in them and were therefore mis-recognised. (This could have been because I was afraid of scratching the screen before the screen protector arrived.) Anyway, I forked out for the official HP screen protectors (you get 3 and they last for ages) and after that, writing on the screen was a joy. If choosing off-brand protectors go for the crystal-clear ones rather than the glare-reducing. I think that will get you the smoothest writing experience.

HP has not provided the backup software that saved my bacon a couple of times on the 2200. I believe there are free downloads and I will have to get one (you never know when you'll forget about it long enough for it to run down completely). However, I have now learned to install all new software to a card or to the iPaq store rather than to the default location so that at least I won't lose the programs if the power goes.

Talking of which, the unit does seem to need charging at least every other day. I believe that while in use, the power lasts longer than the 2200, but when in standby, the 2200 would go for the best part of a week without significant discharge. The 211, however, seems to lose 10% of its power just overnight even with bluetooth and wireless turned off. I haven't been able to find out why this is. Some say that it is better if you stop all running programs (and maybe pop the CF card out) and so I have found, but it still isn't as carefree as the 2200 was.

All in all, this is a pretty good PDA and the only one on the market running Windows Mobile that has USB Host capabilities, dual card slots and a big VGA screen. I don't need a keyboard so I am not prepared to pay almost twice as much for a umPC. In spite of its drawbacks, I love the 211 and really enjoy using it.

This is my first PDA, maybe I'm just expecting too much.
The product itself is not too bad. It has a solid feel to it. Programs open quickly and respond well. As soon as you turn it on its ready to go, there is no bootup time. Has a great picture but lousy sound. I ended up buying a Bluetooth headset so I can hear it. I also strongly recommend buying screen protectors because you'll be poking and stroking pretty hard with the diddle stick until the touch screen breaks in after a couple weeks of use.

The software and firmware is what's bad about it. Every time you put it on or off the charger, connect or disconnect anything, it automatically turns itself on. There is no setting to defeat this. The mobile office software and clear view PDF don't have full screen mode, so a third of the screen is taken up by the window frames. Bring up the input window and now you only have one third of the screen left see what you're working on.

Bottom line, it's a great tool for doing simple tasks. It won't replace a laptop when traveling. If you're waiting for the mini PCs to become practical, this is a great pacifier.

Very Pleased - Does exactly what I needed.
I wanted a clock with a nice design capable of charging multiple iPod/iPhones. My main criteria was A) Black B) 3G compatible.

I can proudly say that this replaced my iHome non-3G Ver I clock with no negatives to speak of. We have multiple iPhones and iPods in this family and can never find an appropriate charger when needed. (ie - firewire for one, doesnt work with another, iPhone 3G wont charge off the same car charger as the 2G, etc.....)

This does it all and has a very intuitively designed clock and easy buttonology to figure out on the fly. This met my expectations considering I was contemplating the JVC version but the negative reviews had me a bit concerned.

The simply and basic concept of the magnet remote holder is genius!

iLuv iMM173 Alarm Clock and Dual Dock for iPod and iPhone 3G (Black)
The product is great the music sounds awesome coming through the speakers whether, it is the radio, iphone's ipod, or pandora. The alarm works better than I expected as I thought it would just enhance the iphone's alarm, but it will play any song you have set in the ipod at the time. The remote is very responsive, and it is very simple to program. iLuv has made a solid product.

Almost Perfect - EDITED
I was afraid that the iLuv Dual Dock would be too large for my end-table but it is the perfect size. I was also relieved to confirm that both docks will play and charge the 3G iPhone and newest iPods. The build quality is very high and the glossy plastic looks great but it is also a fingerprint magnet and hard to keep clean.

The reason I gave it 4 and not 5 stars is because I disagree with the other two reviews before mine that state that the sound quality was great. I think it sounds rather poor. I would rate the sound a 3 out of 5 at best. If I was using this for listening to music I'd send it back. It sound nothing even close to the Bose and Altec-Lansing iPod speakers i've listened to. Luckily I'm only using it as a clock, alarm and for listening to podcasts.

Note: It also comes with a nice remote that attaches to the back with a built in magnet.

EDITED:
Since posting the review I've had the iLuv "crash", "lock up", "freeze" a few times. I need to be able to rely on my alarm and this is a real problem. The clock stays showing the time of the crash and all buttons stop functinoing. I have to power cycle the clock to get it going again. I'm going to call iLuv and see what they can do for me.

Nice iphone 3g radio
This thing sounds great. Works with Pandora streaming thru your 3G or home network to produce great sound. AUX jack out and in is nice too. Charges my iphone perfectly and I really like the radio alarm clock as the sound starts low and then goes higher. PROBLEM is the light. Even at the lowest level it puts off more light than I want. You can however turn the light totally off but then you have to touch the radio to see the time at 3 AM. Easy fix with some window tinting from Lowe's. The light probably won't bother most b/c there are 10 light settings so it's basically a flashlight at the highest level. But if you like cave darkness you'll have to make some adjustments. Other than the light this thing is a great little radio to have in any room and the speakers fill the room enough to listen to morning podcasts or radio/ipod/pandora. You won't be dissappointed!

Best iPhone 3g Alarm Clock dock
This thing look amazing, is well built and sounds amazing. Personally, I think its the best Alarm clock dock (with iPhone 3G support) in the market at this price point. No complaints.

Reasonable Value
These don't last quite as long as Duracell or Energizer, but if your looking for some cheap batteries to put in the kids toys, or a small low power item they will work just fine. For the length of use I've gotten out of these compared to other brands, this is a decent value.

Great batteries for low price.
Aa Alkaline Battery Value Pack very good product with low price. I do not see any differences with others most popular names. When I run them out I will buy them again if the price is going to be low.

A very nice LCD, good remote, good value
I am happy with this Aquos. it has an outstanding picture, as good or better than my 00 Sony XBR5. I am sure the sony must have something more, oh, that is right, the sony uses 400 watts of power, my Sharp uses 120 watts of power. Hmmm. guess the energy star sticker is there for a reason. Only problem is had to get a different wall mount, My New Aquos has a non vesa standard bolt pattern on rear. This is not going to mean anything if you just set it on the stand, but if you plan on wall mounting, be sure to get the universal mount. It has a 440 mm blot pattern.
Cheers

Exceeded my expectations
I have been searching for and HDTV for some time now. I had done all my research, and Sharp Aquos always rose to the top of my list every time. My Sharp Aquos LC37D64U far exceeded my expectations. The picture quality and ease of use is great.

Very good buying experience
A very smooth buying experience -- I received what I wanted, in a short period of time, for a good price.

I love almost everything about my A1000
I got this camera a few weeks ago to replace a previous Canon digital camera (the A540) that I absolutely loved. So far I've been very happy with this one, with one glaring exception - not specifically about the camera itself, but rather the software that comes with it.

I'm an amateur photographer and find that this type of point-and-shoot works well for me - especially since it has a 4x optical zoom which gives clearer, more vivid photos. I really like how easy the Canon cameras are to use and the range of features - and this one doesn't disappoint. I also like the 2.5" LCD and the fact that this camera is small enough to easily fit in a pocket or purse. It's really very versatile and I love that about it.

The only things that I really can complain about are that I do somewhat miss the chunky handgrip on my previous Canon, but that's not a huge deal. What IS a huge deal, for me anyway, is their 'updated' version of the Camera Window software that comes with this camera. This is the software that you run to download photos from the camera - and I can't believe how horrible this particular version is. The previous version that I used with my other Canon camera was great - it was windows-based and you could select any photos on your card then download, print or delete them as you wished. However, in this new version - it's got a black interface, no text by the icons to tell you what they do - and there is no way to delete the photos from your card. I e-mailed Canon to double-check and was told that yes, this is the case - you have to use Windows Explorer to delete your photos. Why I would want to use two different programs when before I could easily use just one is beyond me... I'm going to re-install the old version that I have and hope that it will work with this camera, because I am incredibly annoyed with the new version right now.

Other than the software issue, I love this camera and think that it's a very good choice for someone who wants a camera that takes a great quality photo and is easy to use and carry around. I only hope that Canon will re-think the Camera Window decision - I'm a loyal Canon enthusiast, but am very disappointed in them right now.

Great camera for the price!
This is the first point in shoot camera I have bought in over 5 years so when I decided it was time to upgrade my old digital camera I was surprised to discover that I could get a 10MP digital camera for half the price of what I paid for my old 4MP digital camera.

This camera is simple to use but delivers great photos. The main reasons I picked this camera is because of size and price and its performance which I have read about here and various camera websites. This camera is small enough for me to take with me anywhere I wish to go and its not a cumbersome burden like my old camera, since I have taken up hiking and rock climbing in the last year this is extremely important to me and so far it has been great to take along! The pictures it takes are awesome! I was really impressed with the quality of photos this thing takes when it is utilizing the digital zoom, it can really get out there and deliver quality of photos leaps and bounds over the digital zoom capabilities of my old camera!

Overall its a compact camera that is simple to use and delivers amazing photos! Doesn't take a pro to use this camera and get profesional results.

Excellent Camera
This camera takes excellent pictures. I particularly like the Optical Image Stabalization, Motion sensor, and face recognition. I only make 4 X 6 prints. So far no problems. The pet/children mode does a good job of stopping action.
I've used the optical viewfinder a couple of times. It doesn't show 100% of the picture, but it sure makes a difference in extreme sunlight.
Sometimes it is necessary indoors to increase the ISO in order to increase the flash distance (easily done with a button). I still get great pictures. I know some reviewers blow the pictures up and indicate the noise in the picture. It's just not evident in normal picture prints. I'm sure there would be obvious noise if I was using high ISOs. Battery life is great also. I use Lithium AAs. They last so long there is no need to use recharageable batteries.
The only thing I definately miss is a button to delete "ALL" pictures. There's a button for individual deleting, but you have to use the menu to detete all. I guess you could look at it as a safety feature, making it hard to accidentially delete all your pictures.
There is a lack of manaul controls, but I never used the manual controls in my prior cameras.
The camera size will fit into a pocket, even though I prefer using a case that fits on my belt. I would highly recommend this camera to others.
